Okay, this is a strange one. Using Windows 2003 Standard SP2, I'm
forcing the default wallpaper displayed at logon using the following
registry key.
[HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop]
"Wallpaper"="%systemroot%\\wallpaper.jpg"
The wallpaper shows up as expected. However, if you grab the logon
dialog box with the mouse and move it around the screen, it erases the
graphics in the jpg!
I tried the same thing using a bmp and didn't have that problem. Any
ideas what would cause this? Thanks.
