I understand this isn't a Softgrid channel but I don't kno where to
turn to for this and I was hoping that someone might know about this
or where to turn to...

I am trying to get SG v.4.1 to install but I keep getting the
following error with no luck from google:

Product: SoftGrid Virtual Application Server -- The installation
program encountered an error when attempting to execute a database
statement. ConnectionWrite (send()).

I am using a virtual lab (Virtual PC) and my Softgrid server has
certificates installed with SQL 2005. So I threw SQL 2000 on my DC
server and tried pointing there with the same error. I gave the SQL
account full DB access (Admin, read, write, etc) on both SQL servers.
In SQL 2005, I even set the Db to mode 80 to be compatible with SQL
2000

I would like to know what this error means and what I need to do to
resolve it please!

Thanks!

Re: Softgrid v.4.1 install Error

Thanks but I'm till at a loss here about that. My SQL 2005 server is
using the local system account on the server, no a windows account.
In AD, I went ahead and even modified the properties of the Server
account (in AD) in the Delegation tab to allow Kerboros trust.

What confuses me is that the Softgrid Server with SQL 2005 is in my
virtual domain and when i try to use SQL 2000 which is on my DC, I get
the same error.

I even went as far as making sure that the account used to access the
configuration database had all the security roles allowed. Still
nothing.

Thoughts?
