Remote Desktop Issue

I have an application that I run on my desktop where it points to a Win2003
server. All the files for the application is sitting on the server.
Everything works great. For some reason, when I remote desktop into my
computer, I can not run this applications. I can run all the other
applications thats residing on this server but not this one. The error
message I'm getting is attached. The shared UNC for the server location has
the proper permission set up so I can have access to the folder. Like I
said, it works all other times except during Remote Desktop. Can someone
give me some ideas on how I might fix this?

Odd. And you're logging in using the same user account? What if you use VNC
or any other remote desktop type of application? Also, you mentioned a UNC
path - I don't think Moxy or Axys even knows what those are. Try a mapped
drive via a login script (this should be in use anyway if you're using the
softare I think you are).

Note that this really is more of a workstation issue if it's a Microsoft
issue at all - I'd be inclined to take it up with Advent support. This
definitely isn't a Windows Server problem.

Re: Remote Desktop Issue

Thanks! I did call Advent and they said it's on my side also. VNC works
Webex works. It's only Remote Desktop. I'll try mapping to a drive
instead. Thanks!

That's very strange. Definitely try the mapped drive setup - Advent software
(the older 16bit based stuff like Axys, etc) do not play well on networks in
general and I would never use anything but a mapped drive for them for
*anyone*.

Re: Remote Desktop Issue

I tried the mapped drive and that didn't work either. I tried launching the
app as someone else and logged in as the Domain Admin to eliminate
permission possibility and it still didn't work. It's definitely something
on my end, but I have not idea why it works for every scenerio except for
Remote Desktop.
