Windows Vista Version of DirectX

[CB900F]

I noticed on Microsoft.com they have a link to August update of DirectX
version 9.24.1400... I thought that Visat with SP1 has the latest version of
DirectX which is 10...

Which is the lastest version of DirectX for Vista ?, and wouldnt any updates
to DirectX come from the Updater ?

10 is the latest for Vista.

You won't see any update for a lower version.

Version 10.

You can see what's installed on your system by going to start then
typing in dxdiag then clicking on the icon that comes up.

Wait, in a few seconds you'll get pages full of information. The
System tab among other things shows which version of Direct X is
installed.

Hi,

Yes Vista already has Directx10 and Window should fetch appropriate
updates. Guess that is for those whose grahics cards only support
DirectX9.

If you want to find out what you've got installed on your machine , and
more. try the free SIW program

The current DX9 updates include the latest DX10 files.
