I am getting this Informational event logged on my terminal server (server
2008) whenever someone connects to it from within our domain.
1004 - "The terminal server cannot issue a client license. It was unable to
issue the license due to a changed (mismatched) client license, insufficient
memory, or an internal error. Further details for this problem may have been
reported at the client's computer."
We have 5 per user TS Cals installed. A Microsoft rep stated that per user
Cals cannot be tracked and that this message is normal. I felt perhaps he
was a little unsure about this as my call to them was actually on another
issue. Does anyone know if this is true and normal?
Additionally, I am getting this Warning event when someone connects from the
Internet to it.
4105 - "The Terminal Services license server cannot update the license
attributes for user "bob" in the Active Directory Domain "domain.local".
Ensure that the computer account for the license server is a member of
Terminal Server License Servers group in Active Directory domain
"domain.local".If the license server is installed on a domain controller,
the Network Service account also needs to be a member of the Terminal Server
License Servers group. If the license server is installed on a domain
controller, after you have added the appropriate accounts to the Terminal
Server License Servers group, you must restart the Terminal Services
Licensing service to track or report the usage of TS Per User CALs.Win32
error code: 0x80070005"
The computer account is a member of Terminal Server License Servers. Any
ideas?
