Start up problems, Event Viewer not working

Hello,
I'm having some start up issues and wanted to check the Event Viewer, but
got the following error: "Unable to complete the operations on "event name
here", The interface is unknown."

Hi Gerry,
Sorry for the delay. Thanks for the documentation. I gave it a try:
* it was already set to Automatic
* when I clicked on start, I received the following error:
Could not start the Event Log service on the Local Computer. Error 1501: No
event log file could be opened, so the event logging service did not start.
