I bought an OEM xp professional edition. I wish to know what the differences
between oem and the standard edition. My question is , I intend to upgrade my
computer specs. Will I run into problems reinstalling OEM xp windows on my
new upgraded set of computer? Thanks for any help

This is a Windows Server newsgroup. Best to post this question in a Windows
XP newsgroup.

Whilst both NeilH and Pegasus are right in saying its the wrong group for
the question (there are a number of microsoft xp groups), the answer to your
question is: yes - you will most likley run into problem reinstalling an OEM
version of xp. It should *install* okay, but you probably won't be able to
*activate* it because the hardware will be different.

One of the reasons why posters should select an appropriate newsgroup is
that all responses will be peer-reviewed. I don't know if your reply is
correct or not but it is unlikely to attract such reviews, because it is
obviously in the wrong group. Since the OP may not be able to activate his
installation, he may (or may not . . .) waste his time.
