printer not working on terminal server

I have a windows 2003 terminal server
Clients have issues using HP printers to print locally.
What are the best methods of testing printing since the print jobs appear to
go into outre space.

It's hard to say without knowing what kinds of printers & what kinds of
errors you're seeing. Personally, I recommend something like Screwdrivers
from www.tricerat.com - printing in TS can be a real pain
