Hi all ,

I dont know whether this is the right forum . We have an sbs server 2003 R2
with HP storage work DAT 72 backup device . Every few days the scheduled
backup created through NTbackup fail. the scheduled backup is configured to
occur at 10 pm . it has been noted that when the RSM service stops ( and it
stops at around 10 : 30 pm) that the backup is failing .

the following i've done :
1. updated backup device driver

2. stopped RSM service and deleted the ntmsdata content ...restarted the
RSM service

3. prior to backup , ive created created that restart the RSM service

note also SP2 is installed on the server.

Please advise.

Re: scheduled backup not being done

Thanks for respondíng.

this is no sbs question - it's a regular 2k3 R2 server ???

also - ntbackup is not the problem.
the resulting bkf- files are o.k. on the "remote" server. The problem is
with copying these files to another server.
