Hey all,
Ive got a Terminal Server running Windows Server 2003 with Office 2003 SP2
running happy as larry, but a couple of months ago, I thought Id throw the
SP2 for Server 2003 at it because, you know, Service Packs are supposed to be
good things.

A couple of days later, the server had it's first ever freeze. All user
accounts started locking up (not all at the same time, sort of like dominos
falling over) and while the server would still accept incoming RDP
connections, it would freeze immediately after login, so we had to restarted
the server (which is a pain becuase it's hosted off site). Being it's first
ever crash, I didnt think much of it, the Event Log held no clues, so we went
on with our day.

About 3 or 4 days later, same thing. Get server restarted, nothing in Event
Log. I rang around the stores trying to find out what people were doing, and
most were in our accounting package and Outlook, and a few had Excel open.

Few more days later, I was the first account that crashed, and all I had
open was Word, so after restart, I uninstalled Office just to test for a few
days, and everything was sweet. Of course, I had to put it back on, since
all the staff were climbing my back to get their emails. And then the server
crashed again.

So I finally remove the Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2. And the server
has been up ever since, whcih was about 2 months ago.

Anyone else seen anything similar to this?
