Windows 2008 Remote Desktop Question

Does Win2K8 allow a remote desktop from the server to itself? I get a "Your
credentials did not work". The 2nd session never comes up, just the logon
remote desktop logon box.

Basically I want to have a 2nd session to copy large amounts of data will
using session#1 independently.

This work in Win2K3.

Did you use the same credentials as on the console-session? Try different
credentials.

I have tried both administrator and another user, both fail
