I got a message at login that the was now available so I downloaded,
forgetting that I already had the automatic update scheduler. Now when I
boot up, I get 2 message boxes. The first one reads:
The procedure entry point apsSearchInterface could not be located in the
dynamic link library wlanapi.dll.
The second one reads the same, substituting apsGetReady for
apsSearchInterface. I don't know what this means, nor how to fix it. I
would greatly appreciate any help offered. Thank you.

WinXP SP3 - Read all prerequisites for a successful installation
http://msmvps.com/blogs/harrywaldro...requisites-for-a-successful-installation.aspx

Free unlimited installation and compatibility support is available for
Windows XP, but only for Service Pack 3 (SP3), until 14 Apr-09. Chat and
e-mail support is available only in the United States and Canada. Go to
http://support.microsoft.com/oas/default.aspx?gprid=1173 | select "Windows
XP" then select "Windows XP Service Pack 3"

Re: SP3

That is a ridiculous request. You update to stay current and to have the
best security.

make things better???

In my area people buy 300 year old log cabins, fix them up, and live in
them. They still work.
