I am running Windows Server 2003 and Exchange Server 2003. I remote installed
a System Center Data Protection Manager agent and needed to reboot my server.
Having rebooted the server it now comes up with a blue screen stop error. The
error is 0x00000051 and says it is a Registry Error. I get this error
regardless of whether I am trying to load normally or in safe mode. Any ideas
as to how i can recover my sever?

Thanks

Gavin

Re: Registry Error

Not good. Do you have system state or registry backups?

Re: Registry Error

Good one. The advanced TechNet search doesn't produce that one. We'll see if
the OP can logon as another user.

Re: Registry Error

Yes but they are quite old. I have restored an old registry backup through
the recovery console and now the server has come back on. It still has a few
little issues now due to using such an out of date registry back up. At least
I can work through these a little easier though.

Thanks for the help.
