Hi,
All our users -include laptop users - are configured with roaming profiles -
all stored on a file server in our large well connected head office. Many of
the laptop users travel to some of our smaller sites which have very slow
links e.g. 512k /128k ADSL.

I just wanted to confirm my understanding of roaming profiles - specifically
that when the user signs on in the small site that Windows XP will try to
pull down the profile from the central file server.

Can anyone confirm this ?

Regards
Michael

Yes, it will. Check out slow link detection...

<waves hand> Me! Pick me!

Note that if you're going to use roaming profiles (and h*ll, even if you
aren't) you really want to use folder redirection, and keep those profiles
*tiny*.
