Updates for Win XP 64-bit: same ones as for 32-bit?

I will be installing a new copy of Windows XP 64-bit in a few days. The
package says it has SP2. I thought I would then install SP3,then use
Windows Update. Am I correct that the updates that are put out
periodically are the same for 64-bit as for the 32-bit versions? Or are
there different updates for the 64-bit version?

Thanks

So I am best off just using Windows update for the 64-bit system?

Right, use Windows Update.
My only exception is hardware drivers updates.
I always use the card/chipset manufacturer driver.

Yeah, WU has really had some issues in the last few months with hardware
updates. Even worse if you're on a WSUS environment.
