Losing connection to license server

Hello All,

I'm having an issue with licensing in terminal services.

My terminal server will not stay connected to the license server. When I
open the licensing tool it says there is no available license server in the
domain or workgroup. So I choose the option to connect, specify the server
and it sees everything fine. I can see how many licenses are available. I
close the licensing tool and open it back up and again there is no license
server.

Any ideas why it won't stay connected?

Thanks

Re: Losing connection to license server

dns problem? lic servers get located via srv records in the dns structure.

in this article you'll find how to point TS to particular lic server by
registry keys.

PS: try to have only the primary dns in the network configuration in the
TS's. if the primary times out (heavy load/peaks), the TS will query the
secondary (the default gw e.g.) and the router will answer pretty fast with
unknown. the TS accepts this answer and don't know where to get licenses
from...
