After a Windows XP auto update, I started experiencing the following errors
at startup:

RunDll32.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point_except_handler4_common could not be located in the
dynamic link library MSVCRT.dll.

A second dialog box comes up and says RUNDLL ERROR loading P17RUNE.DLL The
specific procedure could not be found.

The auto update from Microsoft included an intel motherboard update, NVIDIA
update, etc. I can't seem to get rid of this error and it was all caused by
Windows auto update feature. Please help me to get rid of these frustrating
errors...thanks!

Roolback the updates for Intel and Nvidia and don't ever install a driver
for hardware from microsoft, just dwonload it fom the maufacturer website and
for your hardware specs/model.
In safe Mode click Start >> All programs >> Accessories >> System Tools >>
Ssytem Restore and pick up a Restore point to restore your system.
It will do the reboot and the restore will start, pay attention to it and
see if it was successful or not. Does it help?
