3rd party utilities for Win XP Pro 64: backup and anti-virus?

I will be installing a new system and have no experience with the 64-bit
version, only the 32-bit version.

On my 32-bit system I use NOD32 for my virus checking program and
Acronis True Image as my backup program. Does anyone know if these
programs run on Win XP Pro 64? If not, anyone have recommendations?

(Do viruses run on a 64-bit system???)

Acronis True Image Home works on x64 XP.

There is a 64-bit version of NOD32 which will work with your current licence
key http://www.eset.com/download/home-64bit.php

Just to add I am using ESET NOD32 64 bit edition here on x64 and it is
excellent. The name is a bit off-putting but it is 64 bit if you down-load
the right one
