Not a man of his word then! I imagine he's think kind of guy that makes
a bet with someone, loses and doesn't pay up cos he didn't 'shake on
it'. Never mind!

Did you write up those instructions yourself or did you find them?
Whichever, they were very well written and very easy to understand.

Doh! its not saving my folder settings/views anymore.

Its only a few dozen i'd changed too... not 100's or 1000's. I ALWAYS
get big icons in the recycle bin and i don't like that. Your method DID
work, for a week or so but i can't be bothered doing all that each week.

Not your fault, just hope Micro$oft can fix it (i'll probably be on
Windows 7 before they do).

I have the same problems -

VISTA just refuses to hold my window settings )size, view etc.) especially
so in File Explorer...

Any tips on how to fix this annoying problem.

It has been an issue ever since Windows 98! - How come Microsoft have not
bothered to fix it......
