Re: Thanks for Google Earth for 98!
Nah, not cookies; scripting which wants to take over [to any extent] your
system and browser; collected information beyond the normal [OS, browser,
screen, etc.] both of which appears in done there.
I agree, it IS a royal PITA...

| IE6SP2 (XPSP2). Weirdly, today I'm being forced to wait a minute before I
| can access the download list, and there is now one of those damned
routines
| where you gotta figure out what the letter is and input it, only this one
is
| worse and you gotta figure out which of the letters has a cat wrapped
around
| it (they all look like cats to me.) Using Win98 w/ IE6SP1, I get the same
| thing. Didn't get any of that stuff last night. New?
|
| All I know is that the site is a royal POS. Which, BTW, matches my opinion
| of Hotmail/Live.
|
| And I've reached the extent of my interest in the subject. When you come
up
| with something less vague regarding the scripting and whatever it is you
| consider "intrusive", you let me know. In literal terms, damned near
| everything you do on the internet these days is "intrusive", and most of
it
| involves scripting.
|
| I bet you worry about tracking cookies, don't you?
