Use the command edit system.ini and make the changes and save.

This is what it says in the second link that PCR posted in his reply to your
inquiry. But that link shows you how to limit the physical ram, but if you
want to use the MaxFileCache=512000 entry, you have to add it under the [386
Enh] header.
