The OP asks for an "installation disk", not "installation files".
Arturo: He may have said that but it is not necessary, therefore...case in
point, Microsoft now sell Vista and Server2008 (to name but two) as
downloads. My NOD32 was purchased by download or you can pay extra for a
disc if desired, but why bother? The stated reason he asked for said "disk"
with which to accomplish implies that he is not seeking an original Win ME
cd, just the files. And if one were to be literal as opposed to intuitive
about it, one would have to suppose that he wanted something other than
optical media anyway. But probably the most pertinent fact is that I was
offering the OP a Win ME cd that comes with a key, for the price of postage
and packaging - an offer I've previously made here but had no takers for, as
well as one for a boxed copy of XP Home that I offered to webster72n for the
price of postage and packaging but he didn't take up. So when he replies to
my post, repeating the eBay advice, he is making an unmistakeable point and
that is what I responded to. I did not actually mention in my response - to
either of them - that I was going to offer to post a cd of WinME, with
product key, for the cost of shipping only, because it is not required. What
is required is for others not to jump to uncharitable conclusions.
Yes, one can buy "new" stuff on e-Bay. Meaning unopened.
I'm sure that will come as a surprise to you but the value of an
object has nothing to do with the opinion you might have of it, no
matter how "intelligent" it might be. LOL. Some museum pieces can
fetch quite a good price by the way.
Arturo: Yes, I've done the Louvre, Musee D'Orsay, Pompidon't. And used
Millennium Edition since 2000. But, you know, there's only one Mona Lisa
(not counting forgeries). And I've repaired, maintained and restored
motorcycles - mostly classic, but not entirely. The Triumph Twins are worth
a lot. Ten year old Japanese machines are comparatively worthless. That's
supply and demand for you!
And what's a "maroon"?
Arturo: My thanks go to Heirloom for answering that one! It's also where the
'Gullibull' comes from.
