You don't know that for sure and noone can prove it. Linux installs are
very hard to get a total tally of because most of them are not sold.

No big deal. As it's always been best to wait for the second edition of
ANY MS OS before you use it. That is common knowlege.

I have seen this behavior at a few sales seminars. Mostly boiler room types.

Yes, and like so much "common" knowledge, it's completely wrong.

Any piece of software should be judged on its merits, not on some
predetermined fake "rule" like that.
