FYI: here is your "yikes and yowsers" history (OE using ipimus aust)
with dates and times posted.
http://cjoint.com/data/bichGDmofx.htm

Re: Yikes and yowsers

OK, my bad in not checking your headers...

But you aren't apparently posting directly to the MS servers:
NNTP-Posting-Host: cpe-58-166-223-93.wa.bigpond.net.au 58.166.223.93

There is apparently a disparity in the synchronization of your posting host
and the MS servers that actually host these NGs. Don't ask me to explain it
in detail -- that was gone over in absolutely gory detail not too long ago
(surprised that thread isn't still alive.) Not saying whether it's on the MS
or BP end, but someone is dropping the ball when it comes to getting your
posts to the MS servers.

I saw one of Pebble's posts briefly show up here & quickly get "deleted
from server". I think it must be naughty words to blame-- but taken out
of context! A Pebble is too tiny to have poisonous, Australian spiders

I'll have to follow up and read that thread Gary, I'll not have anyone on my
team dropping the ball! I would say it's on the BP end.
This sort of thing happens so rarely (only once before to me, and in this
group too) but am puzzled as to the whys and wherefores of it all.

Yeah Rod, don't see any of the changed subject lines for PCR and Bill,
though PCR said he saw them briefly before they were 'deleted from server' -
he thinks I was kicked off for my language!!

Re: Yikes and yowsers

It may also be as PCR says, that they did appear briefly on the MS servers
but were deleted, probably just a SNAFU. Only way I could tell would be to
reset the NG, and I'm not going to do that. I'm just not bored enough to be
interested, <s>.

Re: Yikes and yowsers

I'll just trot this big new-computer box put to the guy that's just this
minute plowing our circle. Come to think of it, I've got three of those
boxes handy.

Not sure when FedEx can make it out of town, though. (Kidding...It's not
*that* bad, yet.)

[content-justified top-posted intro]

This thread has FINALLY caught my attention. Sometimes it's a
waste, sometimes it almost makes one glad to be alive...

As you know, Gary, you're KF'd, as I may be by you, but this
little snippet needs to be printed in gold and framed... Was
worth the price of checking this so-far-no-end-in-sight
pointless-as-it-may-be thread...

I'm sure there are cultural & other Australian differences involved too.
Your dictionary may be altogether different! Maybe send a dictionary &
one redback to Terhune for inspection. He'll forward them to Redmond if
necessary I'm sure! Him or Brian A!
