other developers that are doing the same thing.

Sorry, but that's nonsense. What you describe is putting together the GUI of
a form. Implementing the functionality behind it is the real work, and it
requires the same programming skills you'd need when developing in assembly
or any other language.

would make $10 an hour. They don't.

Programming in assembly language means you are stuck in the 60's. Better

My hubby Ringmaster found out that Wal-Mart will be opening "Computer
Doctor" centers inside their stores. He's got an interview with them
next week! He is so excited that he has to change his Depends a lot
more often!

Geez... Assembly is still used. But oh, excuse me, you got to be smart
to program in it. Anybody can learn how to "program" with some GUI
screen to stare at. Sony's software engineers make extensive use of
Assembly language in all critical areas of their flagship product
Vegas, by far the best and most powerful professional grade video
editor on the Windows Platform. The one primary reason I've stuck with
Windows, I'm not giving up my Vegas. It is fast, powerful and
intutative... all due to Assembly calls.

For your employers over 20 years ago big deal. In the meantime, I was
writing IBM 360/370 Assembler language solutions and writing solutions
in DEC PDP 8/11 assembler language commercially for the DEC systems and
for the employers I worked for too, in that time period.

You're acting like you're the only one that has done anything, and no
one but you has gone down any path.

You don't know what you're talking about Albright, because one can
certainly go to the Windows API with a COM or .NET solution and deal
with UI controls, creating controls on the fly in code with no drag and
drop of the controls on a form.

One can create a form in .Net on the fly, create controls on the form
any of the controls whether it be a Web form with Web controls or
Windows form with Windows controls, set all the controls properties and
do it on the fly in code, as everything in .Net coding is an *object*,
and one can create objects, manipulate objects and the object's methods
and properties in code on the fly.

One doesn't have to drag and drop, but there is nothing wrong with it
Albright.

Not to sure about that. I think most software uses some version of C or C++
at that level. What makes you think Sony uses Assembler?
